COURSES

Our courses are presented in a manner that is consistent with the Focusing process itself.

The atmosphere is respectful, informal, and non-hierarchical. London Focusing offers weekend introductory workshops and a 2-year course to become a Certified Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapist/Professional.

Our weekend workshops consist of 2-days, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-3, offering an Introduction to Focusing and Listening to others in a Focusing way. These events are also helpful for professionals wanting to learn Focusing for their own self-care and development, and for their work with clients.

We also offer workshops specially designed for your group – feel free to make contact to arrange a workshop for your professional or community group, CPD event, or open-access public group.

For those new to Focusing, please get in touch if you’d like to join one of our free online taster sessions.

INTRODUCTION TO FOCUSING & FOCUSING THERAPY

JUNE 13-14th 2026

London Bridge London UK

see details (PDF)

Millie Baker (Certified Focusing Practitioner) and Frauke Requardt (Focusing Oriented Therapist) will guide you through the workshop.

This is an opportunity to learn from two members of the London Focusing Team. The two-day workshop will include the basics of Focusing with yourself, and helpful ways to facilitate a Focusing process in another person.

What is Focusing?

Focusing is a gentle, embodied practice that helps you listen to your body’s implicit knowing. By turning our attention inward with curiosity and respect, we learn to identify a felt sense—a bodily sense of a situation that is more than thoughts or emotions alone. We stay with this felt sense until something begins to come into focus, something shifts, and a new way forward reveals itself.

Focusing supports emotional clarity, self-regulation, and meaningful change. It deepens presence, enhances attunement to clients and oneself, and offers a reliable way to work with what is not yet clear but already alive in the body.

This workshop is open to anyone interested in embodiment practices, including psychotherapists, counsellors, coaches, facilitators, dancers, and body workers of all kinds.

This introduction (or equivalent) is a pre-requisite for the full 2-year London Focusing training.
